Despite being announced on April Food’s Day, this is no joke (though it did have us smiling)… Panama Canal tolls are going from 430 to under 60. The radical shake-up to simplify Panama Canal tolls is set to provide price stability and predictability. To do so, the Panama Canal Authorities are also replacing toll bands with fixed and capacity tariffs. And their loyalty programme is getting a revamp too.
The new structure will be implemented gradually as of 1st January 2023.
