Following the consultation period on the new payment structure, there have been positive changes to the Panama Canal’s tolls.  Since the new tolls were proposed on 1st April 2022, 17 parties submitted their feedback.  As a result, prices were revised down for transits of vessels in ballast conditions and empty containerships. Authorities will delay implementing passenger vessel toll increases until January 2024 and January 2025.
