COVID resurges in China. Similar to what we are seeing in Europe, now, in July 2022, some areas of China are facing increased cases of COVID. As a result, to prevent cross-infection, crew shore leave have been temporarily suspended in all Chinese ports. In addition, social distancing is to be respected between a ship’s crew and port workers. In some ports, crew are obliged to stay in their living quarters, and are not allowed to go on deck unless necessary.
The Asian Gypsy Moth (AGM) high-risk period started on June 1st in Northern China (north of 31˚15’N parallel). However, in some ports, such as Dalian, Qingdao, Panjin and Songxia (Fuzhou), AGM inspection/certification services are not resumed yet by the end of the day.
