I always think that it’s in critical, urgent situations that my colleagues really stand out.
In fact, it’s often the case that companies turn to me when they are in times of trouble and their own agents are struggling.
Thankfully, these situations don’t happen every day.
Which is why our local agents aren’t your everyday agents.
Recently, at Vicentin Terminal, on the Paraná River, strong winds caused a vessel being handled by our local agent, to collide with the terminal while preparing to load its cargo of soy flour.
The swift and professional response by our colleagues at Martin Shipping & Co made all the difference. Within minutes, our team had implemented safety protocols, coordinated with the P&I club, the Classification Society surveyors and inspectors, and the terminal to ensure that both the vessel and terminal were assessed for any damage and repairs initiated with utmost speed.
Their actions ensured minimal delays, allowing the vessel to proceed with loading safely and efficiently, minimising impact on schedules. ⏳✅
A huge thank you to everyone involved for their professionalism and commitment to safety and efficiency.
