While originally scheduled for September 2022, the Tanzanian Government has fast-tracked the return of private agency services in Tanzania.
As of 1st July 2022, the Tanzanian Government has removed their agency, TASAC (Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation) as an exclusive agent in Tanzanian ports. TASAC will, however exclusively carry out clearing and forwarding related to arms and ammunitions, mineral concentrates, chemicals used by mining companies, Government trophies and live animals.
