The lockdown in Shanghai is expected to come to an end by the beginning of June 2022. This is according to an announcement by the municipal government. The city will gradually return to normal conditions. During lockdown, port operations in Shanghai and other ports remained operational all the time. That being said, vessels arriving in Chinese ports are subject to stricter and more complex quarantine procedures taking a remarkably long time before they are allowed to start cargo work.
