🌦️ Why you always need a meteorologist at hand!
AI has dominated the headlines, events, and our conversations since ChatGPT came out in November 2022. Meanwhile, the weather has taken a backseat.
Everyone who has seen the recent torrents of water flooding through Zermatt or the heatwave in Greece this month (the earliest ever), knows that weather is the breaking news.
And those who can predict it are being kept very busy.
Earlier this week, on a warm summer’s evening, three analysts from LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) presented the latest research on the impact of extreme weather on the commodities markets. The presentation was packed with new information and vocabulary, not dissimilar from learning a new language.
They also shared that we are in for a good summer in Europe 🌞
Afterwards, it was the perfect evening to step out onto the terrace of the Hôtel du Parc des Eaux-Vives and enjoy the stunning view while connecting with everyone.
Thank you to LSEG for an intense and interesting presentation with special thanks to Alessandro Sanos, CAIA, SCR Sanos, Global Director Sales Strategy & Execution, Commodities who moderated the discussion between Weather Analyst Marcin Górski, Senior Power Research Analyst Francisco Gaspar Machado, and Hydrogen Analyst Michał Żuk.
