The drastic lockdowns we have seen in China are slowly being lifted.  Now in June 2022, life is gradually returning to normal in China with lockdown being lifted in Shanghai and eased in Beijing.  The Chinese government is applying a case by case approach, lifting measures in those districts and regions where COVID-19 cases are low enough to merit it.  In many cases that means the return to a somewhat normal life with businesses, such as supermarkets, courier services and public transport, resuming operation.  However, those indoor public venues deemed at risk of encouraging the virus to spread (cinemas, theatres, museums and gyms) will remain closed for the time being.
