Benin to start STS activities

Benin is to tentatively start STS (ship-to-ship) activities on the 3rd week of August 2023.

In the meantime:

  • Armed guards are permitted during STS ops. We are yet to receive confirmation for the long-range escort (IN & OUT) services (100-200 NM).
  • We do expect STS providers to move to Benin as soon as STS Zone starts operations.
  • Customs – Benin Customs charges are announced. We will revert with information regarding all charges following a meeting scheduled in the coming days with pre-selected agencies.
  • The operations are expected to be conducted in the following areas:
  • A :06° 16’N – 002°07’E
  • B :06° 15 ‘N – 002° 12’E
  • C :06° 13’N – 002° 12’E
  • D : 06° 14’N – 002°07’E
  • Anchorage charges are announced on 10 days basic (PARKING AND SECURITY/ISPS FEES).
