We have been closely monitoring the ongoing situation in Gibraltar following a vessel collision earlier this month. Despite teams working around the clock to resolve the situation we received this breaking news today (20/09/2022) from Gibraltar’s vessel traffic services (VTS), which has announced that all OPS have been SUSPENDED in Gibraltar.
❗❗ Due to an occurrence in the MV OS 35 all OPS have been suspended until further notice.
🛳 Vessels currently at anchor may finish their bunker supply but no new vessels nor OPL’S will be permitted.
⛔ All Service boats will not be allowed to depart their berth unless contracted for GPA services.
According to a press release from HM Government of Gibraltar, this latest announcement is due to sheening which requires further clean-up operations. Read the full details of the press release >>> OS 35 Update – GPA concentrates all resources on tackling sheening
