A new route through the Arctic

A new Ningbo–Felixstowe route via the Northern Sea Route could cut the usual 40-day journey in half. With ice cover shrinking, the route is fast becoming an alternative to traditional shipping lanes.

China’s shipyards keep building momentum

New vessel orders surged 105% year-on-year in H1 2026, with China now accounting for 74% of global new orders. Some shipyard order books already extend beyond 2029.

LNG infrastructure expands in Yantai

Two new LNG terminals in Yantai have passed inspection, each capable of handling more than 6 million tonnes annually.

A first for methanol dual-fuel shipping

The world’s first 24,000-TEU methanol dual-fuel container ship has been delivered.
