  • Port operations in Ceuta are presently suspended due to severe sea and wind conditions.
  • Forecast models indicate that disruption is expected to continue until Friday, January 30 (AM), as strong winds and significant sea state continue to limit safe manoeuvring.
  • A further period of unstable weather is forecast around February 4, 2026, which may lead to renewed operational delays.

Algeciras | Operations Under Pressure

  • Algeciras is also experiencing the impact of the same weather system.
  • Strong winds and swell are narrowing operational margins, and port activity remains subject to real-time safety assessments.
  • Current forecasts suggest adverse conditions will persist until Friday, January 30 (AM). In addition, another weather window is expected to develop from the afternoon of February 2, 2026, which could again affect vessel movements and port services.
